Who This Is For

Therapy for High-Achieving Women Who Have Built A Life That Looks Great On Paper But Doesn’t Feel Like It

I work with women who are successful in their careers but are struggling with things no one knows about. Most are dealing with anxiety, major life changes like fertility treatments, relationship challenges, or imposter syndrome and burnout. They still perform at a high level both at home and in their career, but it isn’t sustainable long-term. I have experience working with women in high-pressure careers such as attorneys, physicians, nurses, and women in tech and finance.

Who This Work Is A Good Fit For

I work exclusively with high-achieving women who are successful in their careers. Most of my clients are women physicians, lawyers, nurses, and in finance and tech. They have built successful careers and a life that looks great on the outside. But internally, they are struggling with things no one knows about and life doesn’t feel as good as it looks.

What tends to bring them here are: anxiety that has always been there, it’s their baseline; feelings of imposter syndrome despite their success; chronic stress and burnout that a nap or taking PTO doesn’t fix; and being the one that others turn to for support but feeling alone in their struggles. They’ve built this great life but are starting to see how unsustainable it is.

My clients are insightful and self-aware and have tried therapy before. They know what is going on, but they need help to make changes that are long-lasting and not a quick fix.

  • You’re quick to say “yes” to tasks despite another part of you yelling “hell no”

  • You know you need boundaries but struggle to set them and feel guilty when you do

  • You’ve long been the “dependable one” and the one others turn to when things fall apart but you are dealing with things no on knows about

  • You’re at a point where the life you’ve built isn’t feeling sustainable long-term

  • You want to go beyond coping skills to get to the root of the problem

Therapeutic Approach & Style

I work primarily from a psychodynamic, interpersonal, emotion-focused, and attachment-based theories. I also incorporate Internal Family Systems when appropriate. Essentially, this means that we look at how early childhood relationships (primarily with parents) impact how you relate to yourself and your relationships with others. While we will visit the past, we won’t stay there.  In therapy with me, you will gain insight into how past experiences have shaped your present concerns while also developing new ways of relating to yourself and others so you can actually have a life that feels as good as it looks.

Therapy with me is active and sessions feel conversational. I’m not a therapist who sits quietly; I work right alongside you. You won’t have to guess what I’m thinking, as I’m not a blank slate therapist. Additionally, we go beyond coping skills and do in-depth work to get to the root of your concerns so you can develop lasting change.
