Anxiety Therapy for High-Achieving Women in Texas
Let Go of Anxiety and Constant Overwhelm
You’ve worked hard to build a life that looks great on paper. So why does it feel like you’re one mistake away from it all crumbling?
You’re the capable one. The high performer. The one everyone depends on- at work, at home, and in your relationships. And from the outside, you make it look effortless. You’ve checked all the boxes- excelled in graduate school, landed the dream job, and have a life that looks great on the outside. But inside, it’s a different story.
High-functioning anxiety doesn’t always look like anxiety. That’s what makes it so exhausting.
You’re not falling apart. You’re still showing up, performing, and delivering at a high level at work. But underneath the capable exterior, anxiety is always there. In fact, it’s been there for so long that it feels like it’s your baseline. Because you perform at a high level and are the dependable one, no one really knows how close to the edge you are.
Your mind is constantly going. Thinking about all the things you need to do, replaying conversations with others, and thinking of worst-case scenarios. The pressure to always perform and be the reliable one is exhausting. And you fear that you’re one mistake away from losing it all.
The hard part is that no one knows what you are struggling with. You fear that others would no longer think you are reliable and dependable if they knew what you were struggling with. So you keep it underneath the surface all the while you continue to show up- at work, at home, and in your relationships- while quietly wondering how much longer you can keep this up.
Signs of High Functioning Anxiety
Does this sound familiar?
Your mind races at night, even when you’re exhausted. Racing thoughts about meeting billable hours, replaying the difficult news you had to tell a client, and feeling worried about how you are performing at work
You over-prepare, over-explain, and second-guess decisions long after you made them
You can’t fully relax without a heaping side of guilt- thinking about everything you should be doing
You’re the one everyone turns to for support, but there’s no one there for you to turn to. You don’t want to burden others with what you are going through
You strive to give 100% at work, at home, and in your relationships but it’s coming at a cost. You’re exhausted and overwhelmed
The women I work with are some of the most capable people in the room. They’re also some of the loneliest.
What Anxiety Therapy With Me Actually Looks Like
I’ve worked with high-achieving women for the past decade. I’m not going to tell you to do deep breathing, think positive thoughts, and give you a worksheet to complete before our next session. If those worked, you likely wouldn’t be here needing more support. We’re going to get to the root of your anxiety— what’s driving it, where it came from, and why it’s always there in the background.
We’re going to go beyond coping skills and explore what makes your anxiety worse (the pressure to constantly perform, your relationships, and your desire to be 100% all the time) and work on understanding how your anxiety has likely tried to help you but may be getting in the way.
This is depth-oriented therapy. I can’t promise that your anxiety will completely go away. But through therapy with me, you’ll understand your anxiety better and feel more confident in yourself without all the pressure.
You don’t have to keep white-knuckling it.
Anxiety may have always been there, but it doesn’t have to take up so much space. The version of you that feels more confident, grounded, and less anxious isn’t that far away. I’d love to help you get there.

The work that I do with clients tends to be long term. Some clients are with me for several years while other clients will meet for awhile (around a year) and take a break and maybe come back. Because every person is unique, I can’t give you an answer. If you are looking for short term therapy, I may not be the best fit for you.

Yes! Research shows that online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy. Online therapy is also convenient and flexible for my clients who are professional women navigating busy careers.
